KYGMIN.COM — HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED

PRIVACY POLICY

KYGMIN.COM is a personal website and playground run by an individual, Kyung Min Park. It collects as little as technically possible, and this page explains — plainly — exactly what is and isn't collected.

The Short Version

No ads, no ad trackers, no selling of data — ever. Your camera photos never leave your browser. Games work fully without an account; if you choose to sign in, only your login identity, a nickname you pick, and anonymous game statistics (like rock/paper/scissors move counts) are stored.

What Each Part of the Site Handles

ANIMAL LOOKALIKECamera and photo analysis runs 100% inside your browser (on-device machine learning). Photos are never uploaded, never stored, and never seen by anyone — the server receives nothing.
RPS PREDICTORYour play pattern (counts of rock/paper/scissors choices and outcomes) is stored in your own browser (localStorage). If you sign in, that same anonymous statistical model is also saved to your account so you can continue on another device. No photos, no free text, nothing else.
NINE POSITIONS · INDIAN POKER · PYRRHUS & CO. · ERYSICHTHONThese games run in your browser. When a game finishes, an anonymous record of that game is saved (the numbers of the round — what was played, the result, the score) — tied to your account if signed in, or to a random anonymous ID otherwise. No personal information is included and no free text is stored. Erysichthon additionally records the state of the fish stock at the close, which is what its record page reports.
WHO WROTE THISThe chat export you attach is read, modelled and scored entirely inside your browser. The file is never uploaded, the messages are never stored, and the verdicts are not stored either — closing the tab discards everything. (The sign-in widget at the top of the page is a site-wide element and has nothing to do with your chat data.)
CONTACT FORMThe subject, message and — if you choose to give one — the reply address are stored in this site's own database so the message can be read and answered. Nothing passes through a third-party form service. If you are signed in when you send, your account is attached so that account requests can be verified; signed out, nothing identifies you beyond what you type. Messages are kept only as long as they are useful and are deleted on request.
OTHER GAMESThe remaining playground pages — Animal Lookalike, Who Wrote This, and the smaller experiments — run entirely in your browser and store nothing on any server.
ACCOUNTSSigning in is optional. If you sign in with email, Kakao, or Facebook, the authentication service stores your account identifier, email address (when provided by the login method), sign-in timestamps, and the nickname you choose. Nicknames are publicly visible (e.g. on share cards).

Third-Party Services

This site relies on a small number of infrastructure providers. GitHub Pages hosts the site and, like any web host, may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) per GitHub's own privacy policy. Supabase provides authentication and database storage; account and game data is stored in Supabase's Seoul (South Korea) region. Kakao and Facebook (Meta) act only as login providers when you choose to use them — the site receives only your basic account identity from them, never your friend lists, posts, or messages. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Cookies & Local Storage

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Browser storage is used for two things only: keeping you signed in (authentication session tokens) and saving game progress locally. Clearing your browser's site data removes both.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

You can use everything on this site without an account. If you have an account and want it — and all data tied to it — deleted, send the request through the contact form. Sign in first and the request carries your account automatically, which is how it is verified; if you would rather not sign in, write the email address you signed up with in the message. Deletion is typically done within 7 days. You may also request a copy of the data held about you.

Facebook data deletion If you signed in with Facebook and want your data deleted, the same applies: send the request through the contact form at kygmin.com/contact and your account and all associated data will be deleted. Signing in before you send lets the request be verified. If you cannot use the form, email kygmin.com@gmail.com instead. This page serves as the data deletion instructions for the Facebook Login integration.

Children

This site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child has created an account, contact the email above and it will be deleted.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the effective date at the top will be updated. Since the site is open source, the full history of this page is publicly visible on GitHub.
